Please join the American Diabetes Association's Professional Membership Interest Group -- Public Health & Epidemiology -- for a webinar TOMORROW, September 16th, at 1 p.m. EST on coping strategies for scientists during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Listen to an overview of the epidemiological aspects of SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and diabetes prevention, treatment, and control in different parts of the world. This global panel will discuss future challenges in interpreting the current literature on diabetes and COVID-19 and opportunities for future epidemiological studies.

Panelists:
Rafael Gabriel, MD, PhD (Spain) is a professor of Public Health at the National School of Public Health at the Instituto Nacional de Salud Carlos III. in Spain. He is also the founding member and current vice-President of the World Community for Prevention of Diabetes (WCPD).

Beatriz L. Rodriguez, MD, MPH, PhD (Mexico) is a professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Elizabeth Selvin, PhD, MPH (US) is a professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and holds a joint appointment in the School of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine.

Joel Dave, MD, MBChB (UCT) PhD (UCT) FCP (South Africa), is a professor and the Head of the Division of Endocrinology at Groote Schuur Hospital and the University of Cape Town. His main research interest centers on infectious diseases and the endocrine system.
