The Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES, formerly AADE) has all your telehealth answers on reimbursement.  The Director of Science and Practice, Leslie Kolb, RN, and her team are working daily to update when things change.  This is also a great opportunity to help push for Nurses and Pharmacists, especially with the CDCES credential to be able to bill in all situations.  Currently the billing must go under the overseeing Physician, NP, PA to bill.

Please check out the plethora of resources from ADCES below, including a free webinar and podcast.

That was something that they noticed in Italy, more DKA at the time of diagnosis.

    Thank You Chris.
I am a Hospital based Diabetes educator.  I am a Pharmacist by profession and also BC_ADM.
I was unable to get information if Hospital based educators are allowed to bill and if so would this service extent to all certified educators even if theya re not RN or RD?
    How would a patient register?
Do I need a new script from the physician or the existing referral is good enough?
I would appreciate if you could help me clarify some of these issues.
